The limited Galactic Edition of the highly-anticipated game from the creators of The Sims has just been announced today. This special box will contain the ‘Making of Spore’ DVD, ‘The Art of Spore‘ hardback mini-book, a fold-out Spore poster, and a premium 100-page Galactic Handbook. The Galactic Edition will also feature a DVD documentary from the National Geographic Channel called ‘How to Build a Better Being‘.

Thanks for the response to my blog post Calling all TNA Impact fans where we had a good number of questions supplied by our readers to go to Samoa Joe and AJ Styles. Log into the PlayStation store on June 26th and you can download an encyclopaedia for Metal Gear Solid 4. If all those long cut scenes confused you, you can read everything about the game and Snake’s history from 1987 to the present day at your leisure for free! The easy to use system allows users to search via three central hubs: GENE (a glossary), MEME (which maps the relationships between characters in the series), and SCENE (a timeline for the series). Users can jump from page to page using specific keywords, with the relevant information appearing instantly. All information relating to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, however, can only be accessed when the software detects a save data file created when the game has been completed, as to avoid spoiling the final adventure.

So you’ve been practicing Rock Band and Guitar Hero and figure you are good enough to make the stage. Some kind of musical skill might be in order too, although a quick listen to Radio 1 might make you think otherwise. You can win a set at Glastonbury, a recording session with 80’s star Peter Gabriel and a headline slot at the famous (?) Pilton Party alongside Scouting For Girls.

It’s just been announced that Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear games, will be at HMV 150 Oxford Street, London to sign exclusive HMV pre-order sleeves for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Lead artist Yoji Shinkawa will also be there to sign sleeves available to the first 300 people to pre-order a copy from 9am on the 2nd June. Get there early if you want to meet the maverick games maker as their time is strictly limited!

PES 2008 will be available at a budget price from the release date of 16th May on Xbox 360 and PS2.

The 360 version will sell at £24.99 and the PS2 version at £19.99. Good news for abyone who heard about its teething problems online and has waited before getting involved in Konami’s beautiful game.

GTA IV sales figures have topped 500 million USD in its first week on sale! To put that in perspective Halo 3 topped 300 million USD in its first week on sale last year which makes GTA 4 the highest earning game debut ever! It’s breaking so many records someone better call Norris McWhirter – or at least his successor.
