Two cool new demos have appeared on the Nintendo Channel download service for UK Wii owners:

First up is Lock’s Quest from THQ. An intriguing action come puzzle/build em up. Your goal is to build defence walls, turrets and other goodies in a bid to stop the invasion from some evil clockwork monsters. Frantic action which sees you building and repairing walls as well has having fisticuff sessions to protect your hometown. It’s quite a lengthy demo by the way, which is cool.

Secondly we have Doodle Hex from Bitbox. This is an odd beat em up which focuses just on magic skills, you draw symbols on the top screen to send attack spells or defend against someone else’s spells. Nice comic book graphics and an interesting idea but I didn’t spot the fun, maybe you will though.

Are you getting the free Gamesweasel video show?

Have you been one of the lucky few to get hold of a Little Big Planet beta key recently? Chances are that you’re not as only 1,000 keys were being given away on the official LBP blog and they were snapped up in less than an hour. It seems that the world is going totally Sackboy crazy all of a sudden, is LittleBigPlanet for PS3 really going to be the savoir Sony is desperately after? After all we’re hearing that in a bid to get the game out in time for the Christmas holiday season there are parts of LittleBigPlanet’s online functionality that are unfinished and will be released in an update patch at a later date. Could this spell trouble for games come the LBP release date? We certainly hope not!

The LittleBigPlanet release date is October 21st so there is less than a month until you can get your grubby mitts on the game, just be patient, speculate about the Little Big Planet Xbox 360 version and everything will be fine.

On top of the new Halo 3 maps, an intriguing new trailer for the Halo 3 campaign expansion has surfaced from Microsoft and Bungie. Everything looks suspiciously too peaceful to us, where are the guns? Where are the hoards of nasties to shoot? And why are the telling us to stay calm? We’ll just have to wait and see. In the mean time read our Halo 3 review if you missed it first time around.

Baroque is an interesting sounding game about pain, suffering, death and reincarnation. Sounds like a typical night out in London but I won’t let that dissuade me from giving it a fair chance. Head over to Wii Game Review to read the full Baroque review.

Capcom have let us know that they’re giving away beta keys for the PC version of their upcoming pirate themed multiplayer strategy game Age of Booty. Head to the site to register for your keys, hurry though as its first come first served.

Sega have sent us some ace looking new screenshots for Golden Axe Beast Rider. Even though it’s not quite taking us back the fun multiplayer adventures of the original arcade and 16bit games, we can’t deny the graphics are looking amazing on Xbox 360 and PS3. If the gameplay can match the visuals then we’ll be in for a treat when we finally get to the 17th October, the Golden Axe Beast rider release date.
