Very unorganized by the sounds of it, a shame, but to be honest, the promotion of Mario Kart was probably the main focus.

You were allowed other control methods? In Nottingham we were only allowed Wii wheel, 100cc, Luigi Circuit. I came in second with 1:34:09 (our winner had (1:33:54).

Hi Matthew, thanks for finding my post. Great to hear from someone else who tried the contest, how did you do?
I do agree about the disorganisation, it seemed like the chap who was ‘from nintendo’ had actually been hired by Nintendo just for this event, probably from an agency. He didn’t even own a Wii!

Discovered you blog when researching up the event. Cardiff store was a total farse and almost biased towards players. Have emailed nintendo about it and am glad i read you blog as i now have further proof of the disorganisation of the event in cardiff.
