We’ve just received these brand new Batman Arkham City screenshots and a new render of Harley Quinn. Batman: Arkham Asylum has the best combo system I’ve ever played and hopefully they won’t have changed this too much for the sequel Batman: Arkham City out next year. The game’s now set in a district of Gotham City which the Joker has turned into his new playground for all the murderous villains that once lived inside Arkham Asylum.
I had a good chinwag with the guys at Rocksteady Games at the Eurogamer Expo party and they said they’re working hard on making some satisfying boss battles to rival the rather mediocre ones from the first game. If they can get this right I’m anticipating that Arkham City could already be a contender for game of the year in 2011!
